We caught a the squirrel that was eating at our TOMATO PLANTS

A good friend of our works for the DWS and brought a trap to catch a little varmit that was enjoying our tomato plants. It took a couple tries but we got him and Bandit our dog loved see a squirrel up close. The squirrel wasn't too sure of Bandit and creeched really really loud. It was great!!! We went and release him down by the pond.

What a funny green pepper

This year we planted a little small garden and we have grown a lot of peppers. One Sunday I went to cut the top off this pepper and this is what I found. We thought it was really cool and cute so we pictured it for you.

Saturday with John & Amber family

Last weekend John & Amber came to visit and we had a couple hours before their scheduled birthday party. So we took the kids to Liberty Park in Lehi for two hours. They had fun but it cost some $$$ but the fun out weighed the price.

Horse HORSE HORSE!!!!

Some of our friends invited us to join them on the mountain and they brought their horses up for riding. We went and Jenna got to ride but wasn't willing to at first but then I told her I would ride with her 1st. After riding with her then she was okay to go for a ride on her own. Thanks for letting and finally getting her to go alone. (NOTE: I can't tell you how much her loves horses but the idea of sitting and riding on a horse make her nervous and even when she was small. So to have her trust Jay our friend it was a great day!!) GOOD JOB Jenna. Now she wants us to purchase a horse or pony for her.

Kynaston Family picture

My Kynaston family was incharge of doing my Dad's extended family reunion. Well because of weather problems we canceled and reschedule for September one day thing. Since all of my sibling had the time off we decided to have a 2 day gathering at my house in Mona. What CRAZY IDEA was that --- it was crazy but alot of fun. All of my sibling had a chance to be under one house roof and it was wild and fun too. We decided to take a quick last minute family photo and below is that photo. (NOTE this wasn't planned and so some of us look very scary and not "hair groomed."

Jenna's last week of swim lessons

Jenna loved her swim lesson this year and did an AWESOME JOB!!! She got to advance to the next class and be challenged to learn more. The last week was fun to see her show her stuff and learn. Her teacher Kevin challenged the children to jump off the diving board with a life jacket all the children were scared but NOT OUR JENNA. Jenna went right to the edge of the board with no help and jump the last day of lessons all she wanted to do was jump from the diving board. She is loved it this year!!! Thanks Kevin for making it so fun --- I just hope Jenna really doesn't think she can jump off the diving board without a life jacket.

FUN SUMMER!!!

James hair cut--- 2nd offical but 1st big hair trim

James really needed a hair cut before he went to the Baby contest so Brian helped me hold his still. The word still is impossible for a small busy boy with no desire to be held down. The haircut turned out pretty good for his movement.

JAMES YOU LOOK LIKE A LITTLE MAN!!! WE LOVE YOU BUDDY!

Jenna's coloring exhibit

Jenna has loved coloring and painting this summer. We have gone through 2 water coloring sets and purchased tons of coloring and drawing things. Jenna loves to show her art work to those who come to the house. She had tons of her coloring pages in her bedroom. I told her to put the pictures out on her bed and take pictures of them (I want to get rid of them all but keep a couple). So she did like I asked but make it a couple hour project with organizing them just right on her bed and then taking these picture of each picture (she also took pictures of other things in her room but you don't need to see those). She is quite the artist and now loves to take picture with our OLD camera. She is very talented and an awesome daughter and sister.

Mona Days

Each year our small town of Mona has a day celebration (you would be surprised as the party a small town can throw). The day starts early with a 5k run and then a parade and then it activities are planned ALL DAY long. This year our primary had the children decorate their bike and ride through showing Mona spirit. Jenna and I had fun decorating her bike and I had a "GREAT" time walking through the parade with the rest of the primary presidency. Below are pictures of Jenna dressed up for the parade.

We decided to enter James in the Baby contest so they had a place set aside for picture taking. Jenna loved the idea of "cowboying up." James was just tired and was upset that we cute his hair and he had to hold still.

July 24th- one day camping experience, ending camp site 10 minutes from our home

Brian and I have been wanting to take the kids camping --- even if is was for one night. We had tried another spot early in the summer and found that their were really now trails for ATV to ride. So this weekend of the 24th we knew we wouldn't be able to find something on a late Friday night. So we decided to go about 10 minutes away from our house toward Goshen. We got to this quite camping area and got out and GRASSSHOPPERS were everywhere!!!!! Brian didn't think it was a problem he said we would roast them when we started the fire. I (Colleen) thought we could find another spot, so we traveled on to Ereaka area. (Brian and I had been 4 wheeling about 2 years ago in a mountainous area of Ereaka.) We kept traveling that direction and noticed all the side road that lead to the riding area were gated off. So no luck this direction --- (it was about 6:30 pm). Next idea was to go somewhere up Santaquin canyon (10 minute drive the opposite direction). Traveled to the opening of Santaquin canyon and noticed a sign that said ---- CLOSED FOR ROAD WORK. We decided to see if it was right and about a mile up the road it was closed off. So we turned the truck and trailer around it decided to travel back to our 1st spot only 10 mintues from our house and camp there. I was filled with jumping creatures but it would be okay for the night. We got set up and decided to go for a 4 wheeler ride up and over the mountain to the Mona reseavior and take a look. To our surprise and luck ---- all road traveling over the mountain were closed and we could go over. So we quitely drove back to our trailer and jumped in our truck and drove 5 miles to the reseavior to put our feet in the water and then return 10 mintues later back to our camp to roast marshmellows. Roasting the marshmellows and have S'Mores was interesting with all the grasshoppers --- but what a memory. Then to make the camping even better, we had to run the airconditioner most of the night because it was SOOOOOOOOO SOOOOOO hot. That morning came quick and we got ready fast and went home for the Mona Days celebration. WHAT A CAMPING TRIP!!!! We have since had better camping trips this summer.

On June 20th some of the Kynaston brothers & sister got together at the Oquirrah Mountain temple to go through the open house. It was a really windy week and the weather didn't turn in our favor that day but we had a great time together. Below is a picture of the stormy day and also a picture of those who attended. It was fun to have a children go and feel the spirit of the temple.

CELEBRATING MY MOM!!!!
1st of all I need to thank my sister Tracy for posting this picture of my Mom on her blog firt --- now I have offically stolen a picture from her (THANKS), but remember I have always been her favorite!!! J/T

Okay this is one of my sibling most favorite pictures of OUR Mom Charlotte. In March of this year my mom had a needed surgery performed. She had needed this surgery for some time but put it off because of her fear of another blood problem occuring. (HISTORY: 21 years ago after our twin brother were born about a year later our Mom formed blood clots in her lungs and we almost LOST our mom to this. So anything to do with her blood makes us a little worried.) Well as her family we convinced her to have this surgery done and all went well until the day after and couldn't get better. Two days after her surgery she didn't show signs of getting better with her breathing and our dad requested a chest x-ray to see why she wasn't breathing well. The chest X-ray show she had another blood clot in her lungs. THIS WAS FEAR AND BROUGHT BACK MEMORIES FOR OUR FAMILY!!! My Dad requested a quick family prayer and ask the Dr. to do what he felt was best for our Mom. My mom was put in ICU for 2-3 days and with the quick response, faith and help of the hospital her health improved. She went home 7 days later on oxgyen and required help of her children. I had the chance to go home and help her for a week and it was an honor to care and be with her for those days. Her health improved and since had made a full recovery. Our family is once again reminded of our Mothers & families faith and how it can move mountains. The Lord has blessed us again as her children and family for the chance to keep her here on earth with us. Her grandchildren love her and her children enjoy the time we have to watch and learn from her. We love you MOM & Grandma!
